Brief History of the Association

Pag-ibig Citihomes Phase 2 Homeowners Association was organized in the early days of 2010. The urgency to organize the homeowners was prompted by the flood which wreaked havoc on the subdivision in November 27, 2009. Ninety percent (90%) of the entire Phase 2 of Pag-ibig Citihomes Subdivision got submerged in flood water.

On top of this, the homeowners, during those days, were faced with problem on water services. The developer, Johndorf Ventures Corporation, had opted to run the water system but at the cost of the homeowners. Water services would have been pricier had the developer’s move was not promptly opposed.

Pending the registration of the association with Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) – Region 10, the interim organization was headed by the interim President, Mr. Arnel Quilaton. The interim president after few months in office, however, decided to resign and was succeeded by Mr. Bong Galarrita, the interim Vice President then.

The association was formally registered with HLURB – 10 on April 22, 2010. HLURB awarded Certificate of Registration No. 12101 to the association bearing the name PAG-IBIG CITIHOMES PHASE 2 HOMEOWNERS’ ASSOCIATION, INCORPORATED.

The members of the first regular Board of Directors were elected during the General Assembly and Election held during the 3rd Sunday of December 2010. The 2011 Board of Directors was headed by President Edwin Mirabueno, Jr.

The organization’s by-laws provided that elected members of the board will only have to serve a term of 1 year.

The association is composed of 507 households.
